  1. Can you resolve problem with encoding – enable UTF-8, please?
Now non-Latin characters are missing. For example try to add this gallery:

  3. Hi, just tried it, got this message (using wp 2.7,1)

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /nfs/c01/h03/mnt/13167/domains/ on line 78

I’m not a coder, but I believe I followed the instructions.

  4. Mark, I’m pretty sure that you’re using php4. My plugin is not compatible with it yet. If it’s possible, try to upgrade to php5 and tell if it worked.

  5. Taai, thanks for your response. UTF-8 encoding is the first issue in my todo list now. For sure it’s the most important feature.

  6. Hi, thank you for your quick response.

I moved to php5 as you suggested, definitely made a difference but still a problem, as you can see.

  7. Mark, there’s what I found regarding this problem:

If you are getting Warning Messages like this one
Warning: simplexml_load_file() [function.simplexml-load-file]: URL file-access is disabled in the server configuration in /xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/wp-content/plugins/ on line 384
Where xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx is the path to the wordpress installation on your server

This means that your server configuration is blocking external file access, which in consequence blocks TubePress from accessing Youtube.
allow_url_fopen should be ON in PHP configuration (php.ini). Probably, you don’t have access to edit this file and it could also be that your hosting company has restricted changing the allow_url_fopen value. In this case, you should refer to them and ask them to set the value of allow_url_fopen to ON.

    Hope that helps

  8. Yeah, looks like a similar (though not exact) warning message. I will call my host later today and see if they can reset the allow_url_fopen value to ON. I’ll let you know, and thank you again for your help. However, I’m on Mediatemple’s grid server, so I hope they can make this individual change for me.

  9. I can’t show my album, please show me the way to do that.

  11. Kiet, it’s really interesting problem.
Due to some settings on your server, flash files cannot receive variables that contain “http:/” string in their value.
I’ll fix this problem and in a couple hours I will release an update with bugfix. If you don’t mind, I will test the result on your blog.
    Thank you for your feedback!

  12. +1 for Flickr integration! :)

  13. After upgrade to v1.1, it’s ok. Thanks for support :)

  14. Hi, just wanted to follow up–made the two changes (from php4 to php 5; set the value of allow_url_fopen to ON.

    And everything is good.

Quick questions (hope this is the appropriate arena):

I would like to make the “Press esc to exit full screen” go away more quickly, but could not find the file to change.

Also, can I change the dark background to white?

Thanks again, I think this will be a very useful tool for my purposes.

  15. Hey, Mark.
    Thanks for the feedback!

Unfortunately, the “Press esc to exit full screen” message is the one of the things that we can’t change. It’s built-in to the flash player.

About the background – I totally agree with you and I started working on ability to customize the look of the gallery. Kinda 2-3 themes (dark, light, something else).

  16. I think that this will be awesome!

    I have this error though:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_header() in D:\Hosting\mylinkhere\index.php on line 1

    I am using wp 2.7.1

  17. Jon, it can be caused by setting broken theme. Try to change the theme.
Anyways, I don’t think that my plugin caused that. (I’m using 2.7.1 as well)

  18. Hallo
    Thanks for great plugin !
I’ve tried many but this one is the BEST.

    I’ve request ;)
It is possible to set resolution to each album separately not in global settings ?
It would be very useful -> visitors could be choose resolution of gallery depend of their screen resolution ….

same photos better looks in big and same in small sizes

    I’m using 2.8.4.

  20. I am curious if this plug-in still works for people. I have tried 100 ways and all I get when I post a link to an album is a link to the picasa album. I have tried re-installing, I have googled and googled, I noticed that a lot of the comments are at least 2 years old so I am wondering if this plug in even works anymore. I don’t know a lot but I know I have followed the instructions, am I chasing a dead horse?

    April 3rd, 2011
  21. Hi Cameo,

There’s newer comment in newer posts and looks like the plugin works for most people. I just don’t have time to fix some minor bugs.

Just make sure the link you’re inserting is on it’s own line and the plugin should recognize it.

  23. How I can change the text size of the title?
    April 15th, 2011
  24. What a pity, no updates, no more support and no preview.

    So I will continue search.
