Picasna 1.5 Release Notes
In this release I added some features that Picasna users requested.
Due to a major bug fix, Picasna should work with larger number of server configurations. Now the script that generates and caches the Picasaweb xml responses is located on picasna server (not on blog owner’s hosting).
What’s new:
— Keyboard control (Right/Left/Space for Flash Player 10).
— Caching for faster loading.
— Fetching all public albums.
— Bug fixes.
Now to display all public albums from your account, just put the following link with your Picasaweb username:

I can not seem to get the ‘all public albums’ function to work…
I have put:

as the content of a page, but it doesn’t work…
and, YES, it would be great to get it working in the sidebar!

Terry, yes. You can generate an embed code of the picasna widget, then copy and paste it to a text widget in the sidebar.

Barisko, did you replace “your-username” with your Picasaweb username?

yes i did.
The problem wasn’t the url, but the amount of albums in in the picasa account: 320 albums. That’s clearly to many for this plugin at present time.

Would it be an possibility to make it browser dependent. So that if you choose 1024 in the options Chrome and FF would show 1024 and make a hard limit regarding IE. So that the biggest what IE shows is 800, regardless what is chosen in the options. Would help much because than it’s granted that IE is showing something at all.

Eike. I just launched the workaround with 800+ sizes (no need to update). Now Firefox and Opera are able to display big pictures. But the max size of 800px will remain for IE, Safari and Chrome (I was wrong about the Chrome).
Please try that and let me know if it worked.

I meant to add that when I click on link, the plugin doesn’t open in the wordpress page, it opens new page at picasa.
I want the gallery to be displayed in the WordPress page without leaving the site.

I have the churchlife theme of wordpress and I have downloaded and activated picasna but i cant figure out how to get the plugin to showup on a page. I am wanting to have a photo page on main menu bar and have that be in it when you click on it, Is that possible, please help?

Amy and matthew, please upgrade to PHP5 if possible. If you (or your hosting provider) can’t do that, you can use the widget.

I’m using WAMP and in the folder C:\wamp\bin\php\php5.2.9-1, I got two different php.ini file:
- php.ini-dist
AND
- php.ini-recommended
Which one do I have to modifiate ?
My real website in hosted on free, will I have also a file to modifiate? If yes, do you already know which one of them ?

by saying uncomment the following line, did you mean removing the “;” at the beginning of the sentense you’ve mentionned ?
If right, it doesn’t change anything on both php-dist.ini & php-recommended.ini

Sorry, I gave the wrong location. php.ini must be in `C:\wamp\bin\apache\Apache2.2.11\bin` (not in php folder)

Seems to me there is an issue with updating the title and number of photos in albums. Mine was stuck on 3 photos whene there where 55 in album. Deleting and re-uploading didn’t help. I had to change album name to update those info.

How about including a link in the picture viewer to the picasaweb location where the pictures are stored? That way somebody can easily download the pictures to their own system.

My novice status is going to be highlighted here still… I’m attempting to put together my first blog and absolutely love the clean simple flash presentation that shows with this plugin. As EASY as it should be I’m not getting the link apparently right. I have an album uploaded to my picasa account titled “cre8ive options custom logos” and I’ve pasted what I think is the appropriate “link” into the HTML form <a href=”cre8iveoptionscustomlogos “> is this the right procedure?

so I’ll post again here:
looks like a really good plugin. still some questions:
- I’d like to use it with wpmu 2.7.1 as opposed to normal wordpress so I need to know how and where it caches as it should be separated for each user
- is there a way to generate an “gallery” page? I mean i.e. having a page where one sees all my albums – can I i.e. insert multiple urls into a single page to see all my albums and then be able to open one by clicking onto it?

1. ovidiu, for now, it shouldn’t cache anything on your server, so I don’t think there’s a problem with using it on multiuser wordpress. (I didn’t test it though).
2. Sure, you can either use “allpublic” feature which described in the post above, or you can simply post a list of links to the selected albums. The second option allows you to post multiple unlisted albums.

cool, sounds great. if you’ll implement the caching, will you rememebr to take care of wpmu too? if its cached in the DB you must jsut know, that wpmu uses a little different naming scheme: each blog has its own set of tables like: wp_prefix_blog_id_tablename resulting in something like: wp_1_options also wpmu stores the files usually inside: …./wp-content/blogs.dir/*glob_id*/files/upload…..
the important part is that each blog, gets its own directory inside wp-content/blogs.dir/[...]

Would it be possible (maybe in the future) to use Picasna also for Pictures hosted on own webspace. Because in my opinion, it’s a very nice way to present the pictures to my visitors.
For the moment I have pretty much space left on the Picasa account (900MB) but on my own space i have 10 GB in total

The strange thing is that version 1.4.1 works well, but 1.5.1 version gives this error:
“Fatal error: Call to undefined function curl_init() in /storage/mijndomein/users/049114/public/sites/www.peterberger.nl/site/wp-content/plugins/picasna/picasna-functions.php on line 60″
My hosting provider gives the following specs en I can’t edit php.ini by myself:
MySQL 5.0
PHP 5.2
Perl 5.8
Any idea what the problem is?

after install the plugin and see how it works at wplab.org, i have a new error :

Caching is implemented on my server that fetches responses from google api and converts it to xml for picasna. It also caches big pictures due to some google’s restrictions.
There’s actually no need to cache anything on the user end. But I have an idea how to speed up the loading a little. Probably I’ll use database to cache something.

ok, thanks. I was just confused because there is a cache folder inside the plugin folder. there is a similar plugin that offers file caching or DB caching, have a look at http://stimuli.ca/slickr/ its for flickr
btw. why does part of the plugin run on your server? what exactly is that part? what information gets transferred from my system? would it be possible to build in an option to run it all locally on my server?
thanks and consider your plugin wpmu compatible, though only tested on one wpmu installation.
btw, I’d be also itnerested in seeing this plugin compatible with more picture services, i.e. flickr or even local galleries

ovidiu, it was working completely locally before v1.5. But it used to cause a lot of problems due to different server configurations.
In v1.5 and higher the .swf file and the script that parses and caches picasaweb xml are remote (http://picasna.com/widget/xml/?un=igor.barbashin&an=Canada&ps=800&ts=144 for example). It reduced the loading time from 10 – 60 seconds to 2 seconds and lower. And a bit later it will help to run the plugin even on PHP4.
And actually the widget is going to work with flickr shortly. Approximately May 27.
After widget, I’ll try to implement that in the plugin.
Regarding local galleries, it’s possible but needs a bunch of instructions. I can write it later.

This plug-in is one of the best image/gallery plug-in ever.
I do wish that somehow, when are few pictures in the gallery to be displayed in the middle, or you could choose in which part of the screen/page to be displayed.

I’ve used your plugin for a friend’s gallery (website link) and it seems that with your last release we can use a cache. I’ve seen in the admin part screenshot (in the plugin directory) that you can put how many days the cache must wait to reload the gallery (hope I’m understandable). But I can’t find that in the picasna admin page ?

ktycat, the admin screenshot is from the old version. The cache didn’t work properly and I moved the part of scripts to my server.
Now it caches xml-responses for 6 hours, but there’s a way for force updating the cache. I’ll write a post about it later, but there’s a quick tip.
If you changed something in your picasna gallery (e.g. description, photos order, album cover). After a couple minutes you can go and view your gallery. It will show your old cached album. Now press “UP” on your keyboard. The message in the left bottom corner should appear and in a couple seconds your gallery should update to the latest version.

I have a Asus Eee and a good resolution for surfing in the net with this small screen is 1024*600 for me.
With this resolution the described problem occures. I just changed the resolution to 1024*768 and it worked, but that resolution makes me need to scroll to much.
Doesnt this plugin work with the 1024*600 resolution?

Hm, interesting. For me it looks like the button reacts only when you roll over the upper half of the button (on 1024×768). Maybe the same or even worse happens on the smaller size.

I am having problems with v 1.5.2. I am able to display the album fine but when I try to add more images to an existing album, it does not update the page (slideshow) with the new images.

I’ve tried so many plugins for my WP site, bt this one rocks!
there were no issues in installation. the T_OBJECT_OPERATOR error was solved when I upgraded to PHP5.
But unfortunately I cannot get it working with the kind of code you’ve recomended.
This issue is same as the one posted above mine and another french mate.

First, This is the best plugin I have yet to try. Thank you for sharing and for all your efforts!
I am having problems with v 1.5.2. I am able to display the album fine but when I try to add more images to an existing album, it does not update the page (slideshow) with the new images.
I noticed that once I ADD more images to an existing album, it does not update right away. Let’s say originally I had 50 images in my picasaweb album and I added some 20 more, when I go to my web site it would still show 50 as opposed to 70. I have cleared my cache and even tried it on a computer that has not gone to the site, and it still showed the original amount. At some point it took over 24 hours to update the number of images on the site.
Any tips that you can share with me?

I have a weird problem with the plugin.
When I write a new post and insert only 1 line as
gallery
it worked perfectly.
But only if the above line appear in last sentence of the post, otherwise it shows only the word “gallery”
For example, if I insert 3 actually same line

I updated the album description but the text doesn’t appear, even if I remove all and try again, empty the cache etc. How can I add a text to the left side of the opening window please ? Isn’t that supposed to be the album description?

Refering to the Coln’s problem, you can check out how the layout got messed up with 3 albums, I tried programming HTML , , and even a We need to get this smoother, infact if you allow the links to be inline to text, there won’t be any issue. you can check out my page here http://prasad.freevar.com/?p=79

The plugin is great but it’s a shame that one does not have possibility to choose whether to store xml cache on it’s own blog… why bother your site and collect all that rubbish private data?;-)

Thanks for a great plug-in for wordpress!
Over the last few days, the picasna plug-in has stopped working on our wordpress installation. We keep on getting the “Sorry. Something wrong please check the entered data”.
The plug-in has been working fantastic up to this point, and we just made sure we have the newest version of wordpress installed with the newest version of picasna…. still the same problem.

Hey there Igor,
Found the issue. For your reference.
Created a new picasa album in my local picasa application and upload the images online. This caused all of my wordpress integration to stop working and I recieved the “Sorry. Something wrong please check the entered data” message.
To resolve this issue simply delete the album you just created via picasa, recreate and upload again. You will also need to update the link on your wordpress post to point to this new gallery.

I can’t really make line breaks work around the album thumbnails in my post. The text after the link to the album just gets cluttered up on the side, which is to narrow. If I put a dot in front of every line break () it will work but otherwise it’ll be ignored.

This plugin rocks, and as you say in the description, I shouldn’t have bothered checking out the dozens of other plugin crap that try to do the same thing.
I have one feature request though. Could you add a “play” button to the page so that you shouldn’t click next (or press left/right) all the time? Doesn’t seem like to much trouble.

I saw your fix for him but I don’t know what a php.ini file is, where to find it, or how to “uncomment” it. (I don’t know code). Thanks for any help you can give. Looks like great plugin.

the plugin looks fantastic, and I’d really like to use it for my future travelblog, but I’ve run into an issue.
I’ve prepared the Picasa galleries with a sample photo and the correct link on the WP page, and it works as advertised. My problem is, that I’d like to be able to simply upload more pictures within the same Picasa gallery and have the plugin refresh the content on the WP page, but it doesn’t seem to do that, not very often, anyways.
How often does it actually refresh the gallery and import new pictures from Picasa (if any)? Can I adjust it somehow?
I’d love to use your plugin on future WP sites, since it’s a brilliant way of using Picasa galleries!

I have 5 albums on my wordpress page. I just added th sixst one and something changed, and I don´t know, why. While all the other albums look the same, the new one suddenly has a frame around the picture and is therefor bigger? Can you help me? Where do I say that I want a frame or not and why is it different for the different albums?

I’m having a problem displaying albums on my website. I noticed that the same error is occurring on this site’s root.
That being said, I absolutely love this plugin, and despite the visual errors, for the most part, it is working just fine with WP 2.8.2.

Many compliments for your terrific work. This is one of the best plugins there is.
I have the latest version installed on WP 2.7.1.
I have the following issues.
- Sometimes the Picasa link is not resolved.
- Sometimes the link is disappeared from the post, so cannot be clicked. (IE)
- Sometimes half of the thumbnail is shown
- Sometimes the Picasna div is more wide then other Picasna divs.
My blog is a family blog with different users and different Picasa usernames. Also the front page of the blog consists of more then one post with Picasna albums. I have the impression the Google API cant handle all the requests together? When I click into the detail page of a post, it with more often show the Picasna start thumbnail OK.

We would really like to use this software for a photographers site but can’t get it to work on Internet Explorer 8 at the moment, we have built a site in WordPress and used Picsna within it, it works OK on Safari on the Mac but not on IE8 on the PC, please advise.

Seems to be buggy with IE. Nothing shows with Internet Explorer (IE) while the album displays properly with Firefox (FF). Is your plug in not good for IE? Is it only designed to work with FF?

this is an amazing plugin so thanks for making this available.
I have a need to link to a large number of galleries on a singel page… about 70 in total… the downside is that it currently takes over 2 mins to render the page..
I have installed super cache in the hope that a near permanent cache could be created but this is not helping..
have you any tips on how a 70 album page could be stream lined or it a no no?

I’m having a problem with the album cover not showing correctly in the post. It just shows a 10px by 10px square which is clickable to bring up the gallery. Just looks like crap.
Viewing the source reflects this as well. No matter what I change the cover size to.

Igor, a great plugin!
I am able to see albums just fine on Firefox but not on IE.
It seems odd in that I can see your example albums on your website just fine on IE but not the ones on mine. That indicates to me my IE is ok but I might have configured the links wrong.
IE was working fine a few days ago. And as a WordPress rookie I have no clue where to start looking for the problem – there have been no configuration changes with my servers – that I am aware of. Any advice would be appreciated.

I found something odd. I want the whole plugin to load from my site, so I copied gallery.swf to some directory on my server and wrote a little php script which generates required XML. XML from my script was identical with XML generated by picasna widget. I changed paths in wordpress plugin… and my modifications works only in Firefox (for me). When I installed plugin again, and run it without any modifications everything works fine. So i left it as is… but is there any chance to get COMPLETE plugin, which don’t need to lad anything from picasna.com ? What if picasna.com was down?

To those with I.E. 8 problems … I don’t have a fix for you but I’m not having any troubles seeing albums with WP. It also worked fine when I was using I.E. 7. Sorry this isn’t helpful to you but I did want to let you know it does work.
I would like to request the captions work within the album viewer.

I’m really glad I found this plugin. Many people who view my website will be older folks, and I wanted to put some instructions for using the gallery features right above “Powered by Picasna” and below the album description. I couldn’t find a way to do that, though. This is what I wanted to display:
-To move forward to the next picture, either click on the right half of the current picture, hit the right arrow key, or hit the space bar
-To move back to the previous picture, either click on the left half of the current picture or hit the left arrow key (backspace didn’t work for me in Mozilla)
-To view captions, hover the mouse pointer over the picture; to hide them, move it to the dark outside border
-Hit the “Esc” key at any time to close the picture viewer
I am a developer, so is there a way to modify the code to do this? Or maybe it could be a nice option in the next release. Many people might include it since the hover-caption thing wasn’t intuitive to me at first. I’ll get around it on my website for now, but it would be even more awesome if it was integrated right in.
I love the elegancy of the code by the way.

Через Гугл АПИ сделать кнопку в Пикасу не сложно, а вот сделать экспорт, как веб-альбом на свой сайт или блог будет сложно сделать? Мне сейчас приходится делать так:
1) Прогонять все фотки через экспорт, чтобы появился вотермарк
2) Экспортировать в HTML (использую плагин wp-simpleviewer – он делает вывод картинок аналогично Вашему, но все равно все-таки не так)
3) по ftp закачиваю в блог или сайт.
4) руками прописываю ссылки.
Это достаточно долго и сложно.
Если была бы возможность сделать в 2 клика экспорт из Пикасы в свои галереи в блоги с возможностью оформления наименования альбома и подписей к фото (подписи в Пикасе реализованы отвратительно), то цены такому плагину бы не было. Я специально занимался поиском плагинов для Пикасы, чтобы делать экспорт на свой сайт(блог) – их нет. И народ сильно этим возмущен, т.к. реализована только возможность работы с веб-альбомами ( и понятно почему

Very impressed with this plugin, but less happy that it relies on the support from another server (picasna). I don’t doubt that picasa will be around for a while, but there isn’t the same guarantee with picasna. Is there any possibility of allowing the option of using the picasna server or the local blog server?

To echo everyone else, fantastic plugin. Two comments/suggestions. First, picasna is fast, but is it possible to make it even faster by reducing/eliminating the transitions (fade white, resize box)? Even better if this could be a plugin setting. Second, I think I have the same problem as Gerjan mentions above (unequal sizes of thumbnails). I think for me it relates to whether the picasa album is public or unlisted.

Is there anyway to make the full path of the gallery not show when viewing the slideshow?
Currently, when I click on an album the screen pops up and displays the photos and a huge “un-sightly” link on the upper left hand corner of the screen which is the url path to the image gallery.
Anyway to remove it?

i have major problem
in my mac i see the plugin work well both in safari and firefox but when i use windows 7,xp i don’t see the plugin – i see nothing – there’s nothing to press on to go to the picasa album
is this something fixable in this version or the problem is known ?

Is there a way to load picasna entirely locally? I do not use picasa, I do not use the google picasa albums. Is there a way to create a folder inside wordpress and ‘tell’ the plugin to look for images over there. Or better yet to integrate it with NextGen gallery? This would let me sort photos, for example.

1. Love this pluggin.
2. My album covers are actually covers to catalogs. I’d like to make the whole album cover thumbnail viewable. I tried to add 200 as an option to the picasna-admin.php and it lets me set it in settings but the setting doesn’t take. Any way I can do this?

Hello Igor, I must say this is an excellent plugin from your demo album!
How to show the captions with each picture though? I’ve already added captions on PicasaWeb, and I know if captions are viewable, if you hover the mouse over the picture itself, the captions will show. However, the captions don’t show at all.
I’ve seen other people have this problem but there was no answer to it? I’ll love it if you have an answer =)

Hey Igor,
Thanks for making the best Picasa WP plugin I have ever seen.
The only issue that I am having is that if I set the gallery in Picasa to unlisted, the album thumbnail does not display properly.
Using the widget solves the issue, but is not as elegant as the plugin. I am building a site for a photographer and I would like it to be as easy as possible for her to add galleries herself.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Great plugin! but it’s not working for me..
after I insert the link and click on it, it simply opens my Picasa web albums page, no effects, no full screen.. nothing, asif the plugin is not even installed, although I have it activated, and all links are valid, I’m leaving a break before and after the link.. no “rel” tags added..

i use the Picasna 1.5 plugin on WordPress with Altahualpa theme. In my menu, i have a drop-down category. The problem is that my drop down menu is hiding behind a gallery instead of in front.This only occurs on IE and Safari. (Firefox everything OK) Tnx in advance for usefull tips & tricks

I love this plug in, it looks incredible, however, it is not automatically updating the pics from my album. It did the initial ime, now when I add pics to my account, it doesn’t update on my picasna gallery. Any suggestions?

Not sure if it’s Google’s issues or this plugin but I I keep getting the “Sorry. Something wrong please check the entered data” error & the suggestion above didn’t seem to do the trick.
I’m sure it’s something I’ve done or whatever considering all who use this plugin.
So that brings me to the question of why my link provided by Picasa (link to the private gallery online) looks different from that in the plugin instructions.
My gallery which I can view online gives me an address with my username but also an ID=”string of numbers”. If I try that link or try removing the ID part (or even updating/changing the gallery name myself) I get the “Sorry.” message.
What is it that I am doing incorrectly? Appreciate any help.

Hello,
I was wanting to use Picasna on my site, but didn’t want to use the little image box – I’d much rather have static text or specific image (not in a box, not with text and lables and shiny bits all over it, just an image) that links to the picasna fullscreen thing.
When I put the Test code into my post, it ditches the word and puts in the box.
Is there any way to go about doing this?

a) doesn’t include the required gallery.swf file and
b) is calling it from your site!
Appart from the fact that this is a major security risk, that’s probably costing you a frigging fortune in bandwidth. lol.
This needs to go to the TOP of the ‘to-fix’ when/if you release 1.6…

Great plugin – one request if possible. Is it possible to get the lightbox script to automatically size the image based on the screen resolution? Or could the option be included to use a different lightbox script, i.e shadowbox, which will do that for you?

i just found Picasna and i think it looks great, but i like a bit more control on how to show the albums in a page.
Is there a way to work around the ‘float’ object setting, cause i think that is the mean reason that my layout looks screwed when i put in aditional text.

Oke, ive solve the problem with the float setting. I removed it from the picasna_functions.php. Now i’m only struggling a bit with the margins of the album thumbnails. I tried to adjust the left and right margins in the same document of the objects settings, but with no result.
Does anyone know where i can adjust the margins of the album-thumbnails?

When I checked the embed code with the W3C Validator I got 47 errors and 61 warnings, most of them referring to unescaped “&” characters. In addition to that there were several errors referring to unsupported attributes for the “embed” element.

Thanks for the great plugin. I was trying to figure out the captions functionality and noticed there were several questions about it.
Picasa captions on photos will be pulled by doing the following:
Go to Settings/Picasna and “Show” – Show or hide the title on the initial cover thumbnail. This turns on and shows the title of the link that was specified when you place the picasa link on your page or post. Example: TITLE OF LINK
The TITLE OF LINK is what will be displayed on your Photo album on your WP page or post.
Also, for those who can’t get the plugin to work, make sure you take off the http”S” on your picasa link and the # at the end.
Works like a charm in WP 3.1 for me now.

FYI, Picasna thumbnails are coming up waaay zoomed in. Even your sample gallery on the main Picasna page is doing it. Might have been a change at Picasa today that’s causing it.

Hi, I’m setting up my blog and seem to have issues with getting my picasa album to view. Your plug-in certainly looks the best on your demo but I cannot make it work. I have followed the requirements as stipulated. The site is here. Does it make a difference if my picasa account reads https instead of http? Please help, I’ll happily make a donation if I can get this working.

Hey,
Looks like this is an excellent WordPress plugin, but I cannot for the life of me get it to work. I have followed your instructions to the ‘t’, but all I get is a hyperlink to my picasa web album in both posts and pages. It is as if the picasna plugin isn’t recognizing the link as it should, as it is not displaying my photos as advertised. What am I doing wrong? Please help?!

just one Question: If i go to an Photo Album via Picasna, i have the Title in the top left corner and the Authors name just below it. How can I delete the Authors name?
Which modification do I have to do in which data?

On previous versions all files needed by the plugin where included in it. But in actual version the flash file and the file that generates the xml flashvar are not included and a call to this site is needed for the plugin to work.
Any chance to have all the files so I could install them on my server (making the necessary changes in code) to make the plugin work without any external call but the picasa ones? I’m doing tests and I think sometimes the albums thumbnails are not shown (it only shows the loading icon) because some kind of problem with the call to picasna to obtain the xml file (same link works intermittently, does why I think is a problem on the xml generation).

I tried to download your plugin today from WP.org but it doesn’t find it.
What am I doing wrong? I simply typed “Picasna” but it doesn’t return any plugins. Thank you.

I had a major delay loading my website. I deactivated all plugins and activated them one by one. Picasna was the one causing the delay. So my question, is this a general problem or is it maybe because i made a Album with 166 pictures?
But i guess it was not a problem in the past.
Or is it related to the http https thing?

really great, exactly the functionality i need!
Now I want to transfer all my galleries to be presented by picansa.
But I have the same problem as “coln”. When I use a “page” I can add multple gallery links, but when I use a “post” I can only add one gallery.
Now I have seen that you havn’t answered questions for 2 years yet. Do you still work on it? If not, I cannot take the risk to use extensively this plugin.
Also in the name of other users I just ask you to say some words wrt. further development and bug fixes.
If you continue, I for sure will support you in form of a donation! If not it will be really a shame.

This plugin is very good but as it is coded now it is becoming useless. Anytime the gallery is requested a request is done to this site to get the picture list. So when this site is busy and it seems it is becoming very busy, the galleries does not work at all.
Please consider including all files with the plugin so each person do the necessary request, the server side logic, on his own servers instead of centralized here and as you were doing, if I’m not wrong by inspecting the code, in previous versions of the plugin.
Otherwise this is useless and it is a pity because is very very good plugin and widget. Besides I’m feeling this is almost abandoned as here is the only supposed place to make questions but what’s the point if there are no answers.
We are forwarded here for questions and there is not a forum, a contact form or whatever to make them, just these comments.

problem solved: changed https to http now it works, but there is still a problem: in 4 out of 5 tries the waiting indicator stays at the preview thumbnails (google chrome)…

@Alex I was facing the problemwith chrome, it seems to appear only when you’re logued in google with chrome, try to logout, clear the browser cache and you should done
We love this extension but it seems it has not been updated since a lot of time, we would really appreciate more control over cover size (only 3 size isn’t just enough), plus, it doesn’t look optimized for landscape or portrait pictures (for square images no pb) but that’s probably a picasa limitation too (bad cropping for portrait covers)

Hi, Im wondering if you plan on releasing a non flash version of your plugin, I really love how fast, lightweight, and elegant it is, but flash is a deal breaker for us at the moment

Since Picasa Web Album has a HTTPS Protokoll you need to Edit some Code in picasna.php:
